H.E.L.P. was founded not just on need, but on a lifetime of lessons. As a retired teacher, I spent decades teaching our children that service to others is the highest calling. This organization is dedicated to the Enduring Spirit of Family-the belief that we are all responsible for one another. Whether you are a veteran who has served our country or a young person seeking a path, you are welcome here. We honor the lessons of the past protecting the potential of the future. .
Our Mission
Our mission is to serve veterans and seniors, offering support and resources to unlock their full potential. We build trust and provide pathways to a better life.
The mission of H.E.L.P. focuses on three critical pillars:
Seniors & Veterans Essentials: Distributing hygiene kits, blankets, and linens to those struggling with rising costs of living.
Mental Health Support, Protection of Senior Rights, Personal Estate Integrity & Re-entry Support: Providing resources and guidance for families affected by mental challenges and by the justice system and issuing the understanding of Mississippi Adult Venerable Act.
Youth Mentorship: Paring local elders with at-risk youth to foster life skills and community stability.
Our Bridge of Care
Our organization is dedicated to providing essential social and economic assistance to elderly residents and veterans who are facing extreme financial insecurity. Our bridge of care is to ensure these vulnerable citizens have access to the basic necessities required for their health and survival, effectively serving as a community based support system for the aged and those with physical infirmities.
